Leading People to Think Eternally and Act Presently.
We are proud to be Americans. We love that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The interesting thing is that our culture seems to emphasize our pursuit of happiness, while our Creator puts His emphasis on life. In other words, the Bible has a lot to say about how our Creator wants us to live our lives for eternity rather than just pursuing a comfortable, wrinkle-free life of 80 years or so. That's why our mission is to lead people to think about things from an eternal perspective, and when they do, to encourage them to let that impact the way they behave in the here and now.
For people who do not know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, leading them to think eternally and act presently means helping them see that God is the center of the universe and not them, which hopefully leads them to the action of asking God to save them.
For the person who knows Jesus as their Lord and Savior, thinking eternally and acting presently means helping them learn to trust God in all areas of their life and to let go of their selfish motivations. Hopefully, that will lead to them continuously growing in humility, submission, and thinking of others more highly than themselves.
